Larry started Pine Straw Distributors in January of 2001. He received a BS in Agronomy from N.C. State University in 1976 and has worked in the landscape industry in Raleigh since graduation. Along with being self-employed for over 20 years, he has worked for NCSU in turfgrass research, the University landscape group, Dorothea Dix Hospital and Duke Realty. Larry is a licensed North Carolina Landscape Contractor and is a member of LGMA of North Carolina. He oversees the entire operation of PSD but concentrates on sales, material procurement and business development.

Larry and his wife, Judy, are the parents of Evan and Graham and grandparents of Madison and Crosby. Away from work, Larry enjoys working in his yard, playing golf and spending time as a doting grandfather to Madison and Crosby.
